“It seems absurd to admit that in the whirl of daily life I missed so many small particularities of the place I called home. And yet I did.”
Each semester we fall into the same schedule – we get coffee from the same place, walk the same path to the same class at the same time, taking up the same seat next to the same people, and getting up fifty minutes later to do it all over again. In the routine of our days, it’s easy to become desensitized to the beauty around us.
Enter ROCKET’s #wmoverlooked project. Instead of ROCKET showcasing how we reinvent campus spaces through our photoshoots, we want you to share with us the subtle, simple beauty you find in the nooks and crannies of our 323-year-old campus. Once a month we’ll feature photos showing a new perspective to familiar places here at William and Mary. Anything is fair game – so send it our way!
The Rules:
- Take a photo
- Add #wmoverlooked to your instagram caption / DM a photo to @rocketmag
- Send as many as you like over the course of a semester
- Check the site for the next edition coming out March 21st
